I asked about the buy now, get the product later at my store once. The response was "that would make my inventory count negative, we can't do that". If there is some magic that makes the RC version work, I'd love to have details please.

One for the "what was she thinking" file:
While hunting raspberries today, I watched a lady pull 4 bottles out of her monster purse and put them into her cart. I'm not sure exactly what sort of law it would break, but it has to mess up a store to bring in 4 "rare items" you purchased elsewhere and buy them for the ups.

I think that's reverse shoplifting. I think there might be someone here who can explain that better than I can. But, it isn't something that should be done.

My store also allows IOU purchases. It's really simple, pay for the item, which is not available--use Qs, receive UPs. The cashier writes IOU on receipt with item marked. You bring in your receipt when item comes in, clear it with cashier, who marks it received. Everybody's happy.

Our manager really tries to order lots of stock, but can't always out-guess some of the hot items. All the cashiers know about the IOUs and ask if you want an IOU or RC.

Yep, mine said the same... But 2 of the Wags I go to also allow prebuys, but so far only for me (dont think anyone else has ever asked).
