i wouldnt.. i want the next xbox to have 3D and bluray so i have no need to ever buy another sony gaming console again

exactly.. and i have already seen pictures of wire holders that mount to the controller that hold the phone for you just like a psp or 3ds..

Indie games are just as good as AAA titles these days, the AAA titles are just shinier and more expensive.

I think I'll give it a shot, its been a while since I bought myself a new toy.

Even if the game library ends up a failure, at least I'll get a set top box and a bluetooth gamepad out of the deal.

I think the hope is that current mobile devs will make non-mobile games for it since they already have the dev platform and experience.

Will that ever happen? Or happen enough to make it sustainable? Who knows. But it could be interesting.

More interesting IMHO is the fact that they don't care if you hack the console one bit. Anybody with a softmodded Wii knows it can do a heckuva lot. Hardware modding can make things even cooler. Does it make it proprietary? Almost certainly -- though it'd be quite awesome if it picked up enough steam to make a market of secondary hardware. If nothing else, we might see some really cool hack/mods come out of it.

You're not going to see EA titles on it, sure, but there are many indie developers already supporting it and backing it up.

This will have Tegra 3 1.5Ghz (quad-core CPU, 12-core GPU) and 1GB of RAM.

To put this in perspective the Xbox 360 has a 3.2 GHz PowerPC Tri-Core Xenon and 512MB of RAM, while the PS3 has a 3.2 GHz Cell Broadband Engine with 1 PPE & 6 SPEs, and 256MB of video RAM, 256MB of system RAM.

Then put that together with the lightweight Android OS and games that are easy to be made by anyone, and you have a market.

The market has spoken with over 4 million in 2 days.

I want this. Users want this. I'm getting sick and tired of companies like EA and their DRM and we want something different, something with more control, to the user.

It will be completely hackable, and will run OnLive, so even if the Ouya concept fails for whatever reason, it is still an incredibly powerful Android device with endless possibilities.

I still see nothing to be gained instead of just using an android tablet or similar
