Why do you need an SSD in a server if you don't need it to be really fast?
This was my question exactly. SSDs are for superior performance and speed. If it's in a server that doesn't need to be fast, you're probably wasting your money on a product meant for something you don't need it for.
Maybe more information can help us help you better?
We just un-did our raid 5 (totaling 1.5 TB) for our server computer recently and just ended up purchasing one 2TB SATA HD instead of using a raid configuration now. Bought a WD Caviar green sata HD at best buy for like $120. Of course here I'm just talking about storage HDs but still I'd like to point out you can get a TON of space for really cheap now, and I still don't understand why you want an SSD but don't care if it's fast, even if it's used an OS drive. Just seems conflicting in my mind.....so more info please so we can help you better!
