Might as well twist the knife..
Bluetooth doesn't count as it's it's assumed we're using this on a PC and thus BT is an alternative to RF, not "better", as most PC's don't include a BT receiver anyway. Not to mention Apple sells slimmer, lighter, more durable Bluetooth keyboards which can be had for $35. Boo this thread. Last edited by reanimationxp; 07-13-2012 at 01:16 AM.. |

this is a great keyboard. the touchpad is servicable. the only thing i didn't like about it were the lack of num keys etc.. on the right. this has the fastest key travel of the dinovo line though (vs. illuminated and k800) so if typing is your primary concern it's the fastest. also, it lasts practically forever on a charge. more months than you can count.
If you're a conservative and hate taxes:
http://www.bestoftheblogs.com/Home/43020 Why slickdeals I awesome: I post a deal, it gets reposted 30 minutes later. I report the repost, and slickdeals warns me for "not doing my own work" when all the new poster did was post incomplete info and add links an hour after they blatantly stole my post. Obviously, this is the right way to encourage me to post more deals. |

I agree its a pricy keyboard, but this is one of the cheapest prices ive seen for it. As many times as i have dropped my IOGear or the cat has knocked it off the TV tray, im not so sure i want to be dropping an $80 keyboard, so im gonna stick with what i have. |

LOL. K800 = HTPC keyboard FAIL. There is no pointing device. Keep trying to make an apple pie with your oranges buddy. Let me know how that works out for you.
Second, The entire reason/genius behind the vertical charging stand is to reduce the keyboards footprint on your side table, coffee table, wherever you keep it. This is a great HTPC keyboard. It's very comfortable to use. The circular touch pad with the dots for scrolling is awesome. An elegant solution to the scroll wheel situation. It should be fully backlit instead of just the top row of action keys and the track pad. That is really it's only flaw. If you don't know what an HTPC is then you won't understand the necessity of an HTPC keyboard. Go away, this thread is not for you. Last edited by pilot757; 07-13-2012 at 07:21 AM.. |

Bottom line: The Logitech diNovo Edge is hands down the BEST "all in one" solution (keyboard + mouse combination) for a HTPC.
If you want to have a seperate keyboard & mouse, then the options are a lot more diverse. You can have all the fancy illuminated stuff and combine it with some radical new "air mouse." The choices are ultimately yours with each device, so pick and choose carefully. I've been using the Logitech diNovo Edge for many, many years. It's the best all in one solution that I've across to date. For use with my HTPC, I would be all after a version of the diNovo Edge with backlighting if Logitech ever went that route. If you have the space, want back lighting, and want a seperate mouse & keyboard solution.. then by all means DON'T buy this product. On the other hand, if you want to reduce "clutter" in your HTPC setup, yet use something very functional & responsive, this keyboard is definitely up your alley. It may not have backlighting, but it can hold a charge for MONTHS at a time.. the range on it is AMAZING (30+ ft).. and it looks so dam SEXY (ask your significant others). My 2 cents, ~ Im2bz2p
