I did the rebate once for my t2i and it got lost. Followed up with canon customer service they just asked for proof of all docs sent got a check in 2 weeks =]

the new auto focus system should work with non stm lenses producing faster focusing speed - zeroing in on any of the 9 autofocus points. i imagine it might work even better with the advanced speed of canons new stm lenses and will definitely work in perfect harmony with the stm lenses superior live view and video performance.

I have sold this printer many times. I usually get $200 on Craigslist but have gone down to $180 one time. Its worth way more but there are so many resellers on Craigslist usually you have to come down a little bit if you are in a hurry.

I am surprised this is not Front Page, Mods certainly put up way weaker deals on the front page before. Guess its not getting much love for some reason. This is about as good as it gets for this combo until the refurb's surface. You might save an additional $50 off new maybe but this is solid. I know some people are waiting for the new STM lenes combo. I personally dont care about focus noise that much and that is the only advantage to these lenses and I would lose constant aperture unless I went with the 40mm which is limiting. Even with the added focus accuracy this still hunts a bit check youtub*.com. I think this camera is still a compromise compared to a video camera but you cannot beat it for the convienience. Anyways here is my math:

I wish I were upgrading. This is my first dSLR, so I don't want to spend a ton up front. I might upgrade next year, but I don't want to spend much more than $700 with the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses.
