Tablet Picking Help

I have to pick one of these

1. N7 - $234 from JR not yet received
2. ASUS Transformer Prime $336 (Like New) from Amazon
3. Samsung Galaxy 10.1 from TD for $214

I like the Samsung Galaxy 10.1 , however it's not yet officially on ICS.

Please share your inputs which one should I keep?

My pick would be SG Tab 10.1. It's just awesome.

N7 by far. Has the same tegra 3 processor as the Transformer Prime (may be clocked differently), but still super fast. Also has jelly bean. Any tablet without ICS and without a promised Jelly Bean upgrade path should not be considered. Samsung has a real crappy track record for software upgrades.

+1 for Galaxy Tab. xda forum is full with info. on how to put ICS and soon JB on GT 10.1

N7 is out just for the reason 7 inch is too small for my taste.

I would agree for the most part. The Tab has support by 3rd parties but Samsung has a pretty bad track record for updates. The tab is also older hardware at this point, it was released in Jan of 2011.

My big question is what is the OP going to be doing and are they in a hurry to get it? The question of 7 or 10" depends on what you like to do with the tablet. Also how much storage these models have play into that.

Yeah third party support for some devices is very very good, but you have to do your homework first and we also have to assume that OP is savvy enough to get that stuff and up and running.

I will say that the work done by the cyanogen team on the touchpad has been stellar, but I would still rather take something that just works without constant updates and buggy releases. With a google product you can at least be assured that their development team is on the ball and top notch.

Yep, I just hope my N7 ships soon. An update from google would be nice but this no news thing is bad.
