Panasonic VIERA TC-P50ST50 50-Inch 1080p Full HD 3D Plasma TV $899 + tax

Got the 65" ST from Amazon for $2100 just before they start charging sales tax almost 2 weeks ago to replace a 5 year old 50" $2200 Panasonic & very happy about it. So far had tried both Samsung ($18) & Panasonic ($50) active glasses & finding no difference whatsoever so don't pay extra for the Panasonic just for its rechargeability.

That store never has anything on sale in stock. At 5 am when their ad in the Tribune had the t3i they were sold out. They truly suck.

This TV came out in February this year. You must be talking about last year's ST30. ST50s are considered a good upgrade from ST30s.

I miss living in L.A so much, i remember going to frys in city of industry and finding alot of good deals. I could be there for hours, they have so much good stuff. Frys needs to open stores all over the U.S. For all of you who want a great tv this is it. Cheers!

i believe the "limited quantity" refers to something like at least 10 per store, or max 20 available, etc, not in the amount per person or household...but i agree that it could be interpreted different ways

That was the ST30 (2011 model). This deal is for the ST50 (2012 model), which is supposed to be better than last year's VT30. Also, I believe the 50" ST50 is supposed to be the only size in the ST50 line that is energy STAR qualified.

Paul's TV has it for $999.99 right now (and I think it's a weekend special). I tried to PM to Amazon (their price is $1199.99) but they said I had to pay the equivalent of Paul's "white glove" delivery service which is $100. The one rep I talked to wouldn't do it. I might try another later today or tomorrow. The main reason I want to get it from Amazon is I have their CC and I'll get triple points. The other reason it free returns whereas Paul's indicate there is a restocking fee.

I know this is a great TV but I still like the comfort of being able to send it back. Is that worth $100? I don't know.

My plan is to buy from Amazon, then once it's shipped per 14 days price match terms, call to do the match. Of course there is risk involved of Paul's sale ending before you can do the price match...if it's really weekend only sale then not sure if this would work.

Amazon dropped their price on a lot of Panasonic products overnight. The 50ST50 is now $1099.99. Still $100 more than Paul's. I will try again to get Amazon to PM to Paul's because I like Amazon's return policy plus I get triple points on my Amazon CC.

FYI they lowered it to 1099 because Paul charges $100 extra for BS White Glove delivery, where as Amazon has the White GLove delivery included. That's the excuse I was given over chat but couldn't hurt to try...

I don't care about white glove delivery. These are 50 pound TVs without the stand, not like some old 200 pound rear projection TVs. I can handle the weight.
Still there is a $200 difference between Fry's price and Amazon's price. Amazon just can't compete with Fry's on big screen TVs.
