Laptop between $450 and $600

Yea you could try and price match it to someone who doesn't charge sales tax. I think if you want Blu ray this is probably the one unless you want to mess with like an external Blu ray player, but that would just be something else to carry around.

That is a very good catch. Nice unit. The only thing that worries me is the processor is a little slower. That is a good priced unit though!

I looked this morning and no one but best buy and walmart carry this.
So there is one on Amazon that appears to have a bigger hard drive and no Blu Ray player.
One showed yesterday = $588 with tax (Indiana) (free shipping)
For the one below = $530 no tax and free shipping

If you get one without Blu ray I wouldn't spend more than $450, $500 max. I'll try and find some. At $530 I think I'd try and hold out for one with a Blu ray. You might even consider dropping down to an A6 people seem to really like them.

I ended up going with this one. I private messaged Amazon customer service said about the same price with Newegg and if they could offer any additional discounts. Dropped $15 off. So for $515, I can live with that.

Yeah I was pleased initially but did not end up keeping the laptop. 1st laptop had a scratch on the upper right corner of the screen. 2nd laptop had a line of bad pixels on the bottom part of the screen. I can forgoe the 1st one, the 2nd I was really mad about. Amazon gave me $70 towards another laptop and chose this one (brought down to the original price of the other laptop):

Amazon customer service was top notch but Acer definitely had some quality control issues...
