Completing Masters in Business... Recommendation Letter?

I couldn't find the relevant thread for this. Sorry for that in advance.

I will be completing Masters in Business. Currently, I am also working as a software engineer. Does recommendation letter from the University Professor help for future jobs? OR does it work only for further education? Thanks.

Never seen an interviewee that had a MBA and had the letter of rec in their resume/cover letter. I work at start up though, so HR isn't really built out.

Other than that, I would say the odds you need one would be slim to none. I have an MBA and have never once been asked for a recommendation letter.
