Macbook pro charger
I do believe I need a new charger for my apple laptop. Can any of you nice folks tell me a good place to order one. I am no where near an apple store and also figured you might know where to get a good one at a lower cost than at an apple store. Any suggestioins??

If you want an official one, it will still be fairly expensive even if you get it from another retailor. You can get cheap china knockoffs on Amazon, ebay, etc. Just realize, I did order one from amazon for ~$20 and it worked quite well for about 4 months and after that started to fall apart from standard use. My official one in comparison lasted probably 3 years until my cat chewed through it.

 If you're looking for local retailers, try best buy, micro center, jr, frys, any other electronics retailers in your area, and search for local local Apple re-sellers (not apple stores). http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/index.html Look for businesses that the locator shows as selling Macs (select in the dropdown menu). Don't go for the compatible ones as they might degrade your laptop battery. Get yourself an original charger from apple store.
Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

My charger broke the spring inside the magsafe connector and I was able to find a new cord on ebay for $12. I spliced with the original adapter and it works great.
