Thread Details

This is my first ever deal post (I think...? haha), so go easy on me! I received an email from Ollie's Bargain Outlet with 30% off coupon that appears to work on anything in the store, except prior purchases and/or gift cards (according to the fine print). So I could see some very slick deals to be had with this, as Ollie's prices can be damn good to begin with (on some items).

The coupon has a generic bar code, so can be used by anyone, and it states it is good throughout July 22nd.

Make me proud, Slickdealers! Cool

Seems like by the time "compensation" is handed out...it may not be worth it.

What (may I ask) is soo cheap at ollies that you would seek out a "middleman" to buy it for you?

I live about 20 miles from 2 different ollies and I go to one about once a year just to remind myself how much it sucks.

Maybe if they have something spectacular that I can purchase for BOTH of us...I might make the drive. Wink

P.M. me

Nice post O.P.

laugh out loud

Don't get me wrong, a lot of time the selection at Ollie's leaves a lot to be desired. But I've had some great finds over the years... mostly in relation to DVDs (collector sets in particular), action figures/toys (Mighty Muggs in particular), and video games.

Best Ollies find was Blade Runner for 99cents. Sure its a store full of junk, just like big lots, but sometimes there are gems.

Thanks op! quad rep!

Was that the regular DVD version for 99 cents? Final cut? Final cut 5 disc? THE BRIEFCASE VERSION?! Now that would be the greatest find of all time bounce

Between Ollies and Grossman's bargain outlets here in WNY, there are always some things to find. I mostly go there for home renovations things, like cabinets, sinks...

Thanks for the coupon! Now let's see if they have what I need...

I got the book "Pure Dynamite" bio for 50 cents, it retails everywhere for a minimum of 10 bucks. They get tons of overstock from Books a Million. Plus they take 75% off green dot books. Plenty of scores. And the dvds are priced cheap like stated above.

Some stuff is overpriced, but every bargain outlet has to make money somehow. I can't see them thriving on cheap media.
