HOW DO YOU CANCEL, IS THERE A FEE? People want to zero it out and cancel it all. Please explain

Here is what the website say for canceling:
Either a parent or a teen can suspend the card at any time, for any reason. The Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card cannot be used again until it is reactivated by the parent. This can be done by calling 1-866-213-3293.

You can close your teen’s Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card via the website or by calling 1-866-213-3293. Please keep in mind that once you have permanently closed your teen’s Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card, you cannot re-activate or re-open the card. Although your teen can no longer use the Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card, the card will remain active for ten days so all pending transactions have posted, the available balance will be credited to your funding account. If your teen has a negative balance after all transactions have posted, your funding account will be charged the remaining balance. You will be notified via your email address five days prior to any debit or credit being applied to your funding account.

Yet I find nothing on the website in any which way to cancel, Let me know if you can and where/how. For now looks like you call the number
To close the account click on the close card in the left box at the bottom all remaining funds will be credited back to your original payment method


Setting up pin: The pin can only be created from the parent account. Also, you must first give the teenager cash privileges in order to create a pin. I found it on the left hand menu, Manage Teens, under cash access. Allow access, set limit, submit, then you will see set pin option.

$1.00 ATM fee at AllPoint machines. The TOS is deceptive in that it indicates no fees at all for the card when using AllPoint ATMs. This is not the case. You will be charged $1.00 by Nationwide for using the card at an AllPoint ATM, even when directly located using the AllPoint locater on the Nationwide website.

If you plan on removing the funds from the card using an ATM, you will want the total to be a multiple of $20 after your bonus AND surcharge. So an initial load of $31 is a good start if you plan on hitting an allpoint.

You can use amazon to get the money off the card. Just buy yourself a gift card with the amount on the card and send it to yourself. Some of us spend enough on amazon to warrant doing this

You CAN cancel online. Log on to the account through the website. Close Card should be the last option under the Manage Teens section of the page. Refunds will be issued to your funding account.
