Found this on another thread....
"There is a Nationwide Bank Buxx Card promotion for a $50 bonus using offer code 02010059 when you sign up for a new Buxx Card. When you sign up, the initial load has to be a minimum of $25 to get the $50 bonus automatically loaded on card. You load using a debit card or credit card. They charge $2 to load plus a potential $5 account set up fee so there’s a $43 profit from this promotional offer. You don’t have to be member of nationwide bank. I just signed up myself and it only took about 15 minutes. This is an easy way to get $43 so hurry and sign up while this offer lasts.

How to Claim This Offer:

Go to the Visa Buxx page and click Enroll
Sign up as a PARENT to claim the offer
Follow the steps to create an account
Once you finish making an account, click on the “Add New Teen” Tab
Use any information to “add a teen.” You can just use your own social security number again to add a teen.
When you come to the box that asks your for a promo code, use the code: 02010059
Make an initial load of at least $25
Wait 5 to 7 business days for your Buxx card with a $50 bonus to arrive in the mail
Again, Visa Buxx Cards are offering a $50 bonus when you load a new card with at least $25 and use the promotional code 02010059 when adding a teen. The only minor setback is a $2 fee for loading a card and a potential $5 account set up fee, but otherwise this is a great, simple offer that’s worth $43! It’ll only take a few moments of your time so hurry and sign up today."
Good luck guys!

$10 Cash Advance fee using Citi card to fund Nationwide Bank Buxx Card

Question most asked with no answer, Anyone?
HOW DO YOU CANCEL, IS THERE A FEE? People want to zero it out and cancel it all. Please explain Smilie

Here is what the website say for canceling:
Either a parent or a teen can suspend the card at any time, for any reason. The Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card cannot be used again until it is reactivated by the parent. This can be done by calling 1-866-213-3293.

You can close your teen's Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card via the website or by calling 1-866-213-3293. Please keep in mind that once you have permanently closed your teen's Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card, you cannot re-activate or re-open the card. Although your teen can no longer use the Nationwide Bank Visa Buxx card, the card will remain active for ten days so all pending transactions have posted, the available balance will be credited to your funding account. If your teen has a negative balance after all transactions have posted, your funding account will be charged the remaining balance. You will be notified via your email address five days prior to any debit or credit being applied to your funding account.

Yet I find nothing on the website in any which way to cancel, Let me know if you can and where/how. For now looks like you call the number
To close the account click on the close card in the left box at the bottom all remaining funds will be credited back to your original payment method

Setting up pin: The pin can only be created from the parent account. Also, you must first give the teenager cash privileges in order to create a pin. I found it on the left hand menu, Manage Teens, under cash access. Allow access, set limit, submit, then you will see set pin option.

$1.00 ATM fee at AllPoint machines. The TOS is deceptive in that it indicates no fees at all for the card when using AllPoint ATMs. This is not the case. You will be charged $1.00 by Nationwide for using the card at an AllPoint ATM, even when directly located using the AllPoint locater on the Nationwide website.

If you plan on removing the funds from the card using an ATM, you will want the total to be a multiple of $20 after your bonus AND surcharge. So an initial load of $31 is a good start if you plan on hitting an allpoint.

REMEMBER to click "cash access" and allow yourself to get to the cash!

You can use amazon to get the money off the card. Just buy yourself a gift card with the amount on the card and send it to yourself. Some of us spend enough on amazon to warrant doing this Smilie

You CAN cancel online. Log on to the account through the website. Close Card should be the last option under the Manage Teens section of the page. Refunds will be issued to your funding account.

Email from Nationwide after you close the account.

Dear XXXX,

As requested, we have closed XXXX's Nationwide Visa Buxx account. Although the card can no longer be used, this account will remain active for 30 days to ensure all pending transactions and fees can be posted.

You can continue to access your Teen's information by visiting the Nationwide Visa Buxx website until you receive the account's last monthly statement. You can also access account information by calling 866.213.3293.

Please note the following:

If the card has a remaining available balance after all transactions have posted, the available balance will be credited to your funding account.
You will be notified via your email address five days prior to any debit or credit being applied to your funding account.

Please do not reply to this message. If you need assistance, or if you believe you have received this message in error, please contact Customer Service at 866.213.3293.

Thank you.

maybe it is free. I'm just saying that the terms and conditions, on creating the account, before you ever make a card, the ones you agree to, mention fees, and one of them said "express delivery" and $10" they also say $5 to create an account and $2 to load a card, and people are reporting not being charged those fees either. Plus it is just the terms and conditions, they may have a promotion to ship it express for free. I didn't see that when I checked out, but I wasn't looking for it. I saw express and instantly thought $10 fee.

Seems like this may be a good way to have an Allpoint ATM access with no ATM surcharge and no bank surcharge, right? I just always use my bank atm to avoid the surcharges, but Allpoint has pretty impressive coverage, and looks like it would be more convenient for me at times.

I funded on the 17th and activated the damn card 3 days later while it was being shipped!

I've called twice and both times they've said I have the promo on the account but I need to wait 2 weeks. That doesn't seem to be the case with all of the other people in this thread..I hope I get it, I didn everything correctly and customer service rep even said there was a promo on there but I feel like I won't get it since It hasn't posted yet Frown

Thanks. Tried it. Didn't mention a $2 load fee. Used a BofA MC so hopefully no Cash Advance fee. We will see.
