No video from new Radeon 7950 gpu
Earlier I installed a new Radeon 7950 gpu and it was causing tearing in video so I was messing around with settings in Catalyst Control Center. I had my AVR connected by HDMI and a regular monitor connected by DVI to HDMI cable. I tried to disable just the monitor but both the AVR and monitor were labeled as 1 so when I chose disable it disabled them both. Now I can't get video at all from the gpu. Is there a way I can reset the gpu without going through software since I can't get video I can't see what I'm doing in any software?

Safemode possibly? You could always uninstall the driver here and reinstal with fresh settings. Usually windows doesnt allow you to disable all monitors.

if you have remote control turned on like me, sometimes my computer will suddenly lose video signal (like driver crashed and it won't self-restart), and i have work didn't save, so i use another PC to remote it

Try re flashing the bios and try a lower bios version till it works.

Did you install this card to replace onboard video, or another card in a slot?
Get Ccleaner Slim with no toolbar [ccleaner.com] You will still need to uncheck all the extra shortcuts you don't need . . . Be sure to update before running it.
Get Malwarebytes free edition [cnet.com] Be sure to update before running it. Get SuperAntiSpyware free edition (SAS) [cnet.com] Be sure to update before running it. |
