Technical question about a word
One word in particular: graduate. I have to answer the following question, slightly reworded, for an application, "Did any of the members of your family graduate from this university?" My sibling received a master's degree from the university. With that information, would I answer the question "yes" or "no"? My instinct is to answer "no" because I always thought graduation at the college/university level meant moving from being an undergrad to a grad, i.e., receiving a college degree. But the general definition I see online says it applies to any academic degree. What says the technical minded people of the world's greatest website who I hope won't kill me for asking this here?

Bachelor's degree or higher = Graduate of that school
So the answer...YES Your answer of NO would be incorrect and over thinking a simple question. |
