That's the model number. The dcpi for the one I got fot $144 is 080 11 0007. That is different than the ones posted by the OP.

I just picked up an Acer Aspire One Netbook (in black) on clearance for $202-something today at my local target. Clearance sticker said it was originally $289.

There were two there with different DCPIs according to the sales clerk. I read the boxes, and one had 4GB of RAM and 250GB HD for $202. There was another with 2GB RAM and 320GB HD for $195.

I'm in MA.

Edit: I just checked the clearance sticker, and it has the same DCPI as quoted above.

These are now $139 and $144 at target

I just picked up the Gateway 15.6" Laptop in Metairie, LA. It was the last one in the locked case and still showed the $399 price tag. The Target employee said it was marked down to that price as a clearance item. I asked if he would mind scanning it to check the price. He said sure and seemed very surprised when it came up as $199. I told him I would take it.
Thanks to the OP and everyone else who offered additional info. The Gateway is a nice little laptop. Its not going to compete with medium-to-high end units, but it'll get the job done for what I need it for.

Had them in limited stock at one store in my area and they weren't ringing up clearance :/

EDIT....Nm found one near my work on the way home so it was well worth it, what was even better was that in the clearance section of the lock case where they keep the laptops where cases for only 3 bucks, great deal imo...

someone had mentioned previously that the celeron was not a "release" chip. Can someone explain what that means?

Still no go for Salt Lake or Orem. I've checked 4 stores - all are ringing up at 269.99.

I checked 7 Targets total this past week, either it's OOS or not on any sale, at all.

Just got the last 2--one for son and mother--at Monroe NY. Went in and had them scan computers in the locked case----came up really high. Sales person told me ALL clearance items were gone.
Forgot to write the DCP code----so I quickly went to Best Buy and looked back on this site---go the code went to customer service----2 in the backroom very happy.
Now to teach my mother how to use a computer! Thanks

None left in Va Beach area even though Item lookup says they have them at Nimmo went there punched in code and it said NA
