If you are airline catches you you're SOL. From my understanding they regularly check places like Craigslist and eBay.

You need to read the fine print. Most if not all of those vouchers are non transferable. The kicker is if you book the ticket and they find out after the fact you may get to the airport and find out you don't have a reservation. At that point they tell you SOL and thanks for the voucher back.

You as the seller may not be impacted by this but you need to understand there's a high degree of oversight on these vouchers. Stories of people getting caught with vouchers they obtained from others are easy to find and the outcome isn't fun. I personally wouldn't sell them, its borderline unethical.

Your best bet is to call the airline and ask. Don't give your name or FF number but just pose the hypothetical. And trust me, this isn't the right time to be cute and pull a Slickdeals never call attitude, especially if you are selling or booking travel for someone other than yourself.

Does the same thing apply to "buddy" passes? I have been tempted to purchase "Buddy" pass from CL but unsure if any risk.

We received travel vouchers from Delta for giving up our seats. They had over booked the flight and we were in no hurry. The free ticket vouchers were well worth waiting an hour for another flight. Ours didn't have a dollar amt on them.. they were good for any domestic flight. We went to the ticket counter and asked them to transfer one of the vouchers to someone else and it really didn't seem to be a problem and they had NO problems using it. That was a couple years ago..but it would be well worth the try. Craigs list is probably your best bet though. Good Luck!!
