Baby Monitors. Suggestions?

Go with V-tech hands down, the quality is excellent and there is not a lot of interference. For those interested in multiple receivers, though there is a single receiver model also, I recommend the Safe and Sound Digital Audio Baby Monitor. Look for the one that has 2 parent receivers with it, you will be so happy that you did, that way you can keep one upstairs, one downstairs, or carry one with you when you are in the kitchen, etc and leave the other one stationary in the bedroom. The price for a single receiver is under $30 and under $60 with multiple receivers.

If you are interested in video, it's a cute novelty and is cute to watch. The quality is high, there is very little interference. Try the Safe And Sound Full Color Video and Audio Monitor.

We had great luck with the below. Zero issues with interference.

We didn't see the need for video - but I can see why others would want it.

This is a good monitor. I know friends who have it. But if you have pets who get scared by beeping, it's not the monitor for you, as it's overly sensitive.

We bought $30 ones from Babiesrus. What we now know we wanted.

2 way communication. Sometimes it's convenient for us to say hey I need you can you come?
Rechargeable handsets. We use rechargeable batteries already but these would be better with there own. We now plug one in downstairs and leave it on 24/7.

Our sets tip over so easy! Bad design. I hot glued flat plastic to the bottom.

Audible warning that batteries are dying. We had one night where are baby was crying while are handset was dead :-(

Video seems unnecessary. As a full on geek I want the IP camera but the $ seemed to high and the setup to much.

You will want simple and easy. You will not have much time to fiddle with things.

Thanks all for your input. I was already highly favoring the VTechs, so I think we might go ahead and purchase those.

I have bought an ip camera on eBay from a chinese company. It's really meet your requirements. It has video, intercom, monitoring and alarm functions. You can have a search on eBay.
