replace em watch batteries yourselves. I mean theres only been like 5000 watch DYI kit on the FP of SD

Seriously, tho'. Most watch deals seem to be stainless steel straps - too clunky and, well, just not comfortable.

as mentioned, at some point, the kinetic mechanism will die. There is no fixed amount of times you can swap out a battery.

1. Is this watch water-resistant? I looked up in the details at Newegg.com and there is nothing about this.

2. Is the leather band durable? I hope that the band will not be worn too much after at least a couple of years. (Maybe I am ridiculously picky.)

3. Is there a global warranty? I am leaving us for UK and China at this moment and will be mainly stay in these two countries for the next three or four years.

1. The picture shows it as having "100M" water resistance.

2. Durability is relative, and watchbands are cheap if they need replacing.

3. The actual seller on Newegg is Ashford.com. That company's warranty requires that you return the watch to them (in NYC) for service. My guess is that this watch is gray market (i.e. imported into the U.S. through unauthorized distribution channels). As for whether a Seiko service center in another country would honor the warranty, it's a crapshoot.
