I am very pleased with this unit for the price paid. Very simple to use and I actually prefer only adding fresh water when I'm ready to make a cup of coffee. Besides, the footprint is smaller and space on my countertops is always at a premium so the smaller footprint, the better as far as I'm concerned. That being said, fatter and taller cups do not fit in this unit (e.g., the Brew Over Ice tumblers sold by Keurig and others). After all, did you ever in your wildest dreams think people would one day be paying $160 for a coffee maker?????????????????

I would go with the Costco one for many reasons but the main one is their excellent return policy. These things will break eventually and if you don't want to buy a new unit or deal with the manufacturerer I'd stick with costco.

I just recently returned my unit that I got in 2010 for a full refund. I left the return line and went and purchased a brand new one (with 60 new kcups) with the cash.

Only thing to keep in mind is that they'll require you to return the 'my kcup' along with it. Not a big deal if you end up purchasing the same bundle again, but make sure you don't lose it!

That's an understatement. I have never seen coffee makers, much less ones as expensive as these keurig models, break so much.

They all suffer from the same problems, often only within a few months of buying them.

Half cups, clogged water lines, weak motors, etc

Customer service either tells you to clean it at some ridiculous interval or they replace it and then it breaks again in a few months.

All the while you are wasting k-cups that you also paid money for.

The concept is great I just haven't found a single model of any brand single serve coffee maker that works well... customer reviews on amazon, newegg, etc prove it.. sure they have 9999999 5 star reviews.. but what you need to look at is the 200+ 1 star ones...
