Free Minecraft Xbox 360 Skins (DLC)

Can you post the URL of the 2nd freebie? I only see 1. When I go to the Summer of Arcade page and select the Minecraft ad, I only see the same Skin Pack 1.

You have to download it from your Xbox. The link from my purchase history doesn't let you download the DLC.

Go to the ad for the Summer of Arcade on the home section of the dashboard. Then go to Minecraft Offer. Then select the option that says "Get The Skin Pack". It should download the free SOA Skin Pack [xbox.com].

The Summer of Arcade 2012 event is here for Xbox Live and you can get your free Minecraft themed skins for the Minecraft Xbox Live Arcade game. Here's how:

1. On your Xbox, navigate to the dash. Find the Summer of Arcade promo and load it.

My son is addicted to the online game. Is the Xbox version offer anything better? Just installed the Tropiccraft mod for him last night and he is loving it. Crazy stuff there.

The Xbox version are several patches behind the PC one. It's fun though that you can play multiplayer split-screen on just one account, so you can play with your son on the same screen. In fact, the whole family could join in. The controls take some getting used to but the GUI flows very well. However, you can't install mods on the Xbox version of course (but maybe later, who knows with Bukkit in the mix).

The 360 version is a bit more restrictive than the PC due to memory constraints on the console, it's currently several versions behind of the PC version, and there won't be any mods because they're dealing with MS.

Plus, MS charges $40,000 everytime Mojang wants to release a patch on XBLA, so there's that.

I personally don't play the game, but my 15 year old loves the game and has both versions. He has said that he likes the online version best, something about he can do more there than on the xbox. Sorry I don't have more detailed information, just sharing. I'd ask him for details, but he's been staying up all night playing video games and sleeps most of the day.... going to have to get him turned around here soon for when school starts back up.

Just got it. The "Summer of Arcade" is under the Games section.

They released Skin Pack 2 and that trial includes 15 free skins.
