Intel i5 3570K Processor and MSI Z77A-G43 Motherboard and CPU Bundle $269 @ Fry's AR

Killer deal, Id' regret my recent purchase if this had 8 sata ports instead of 6.

That board is such trash. NewEgg reviews are bad as anecdotal advice. Google z77a-g43 review and you'll see all the nasties about it. Not a good pairing with such a good processor.

VRMs are weak and WILL limit the overclock. They ain't running 125w TDP processors on it but hey I would be surprised but not shocked if they don't blow up if you pump more VCORE & clockspeeds on it.

Not bad indeed...I am also looking at building a system based on the i5 3570k, but have only been looking at reviews on the AsRock and ASUS Z77 boards. If you have a MicroCenter close to you, you can get $50 off when buying a Z77 mobo with 3570k...goto their online ads to see

I am not sure how good this MSI board is in terms of overclocking...which is the point of buying a K-series. Also I am concerned about reliability...anyone comment on it?

My friend had one, seem to be decent, he oc to 4.2 on 3570k with idle at 30 and gaming at 70 full load. I don't have one myself thought, this price is good, I might just grab one lol...

Its a good budget z77 board if you're planning to not overclock or you'll be satisfied with a 4.2-4.4 overclock. Good luck getting an ivy bridge past that stable on air.

I have the g45 version with an i5-3570k in it. OC's fine as far as it can go on air. Nice looking board, very thick which I much prefer to the paper thin cheap boards, never had a single issue with it.
