Given that nobody outside really knows what exactly goes on during the meetings and by extension if the meeting are effective, it's entirely possible this particular group didn't gel in a productive way. This is fairly common for meetings, so when people make these sort of criticism based on nothing it calls into question if they've ever worked in industry before.

i guess you forgot the almost-gleeful NIGHTLY coverage and count of how many soldiers were killed that day...the 2000 or other 'milestone' number of dead was celebrated by the media and covered from wall to wall, complete with sob stories and videos of crying family members....all that disappeared LITERALLY OVERNIGHT once Obama was elected...the 2000 mark came and went in Afghanistan, without any significant, if any, mention in the corrupt media whatsoever

I agree that Obama should cease the conservative chickenhawk programs. It would be best if the alternative party can stop putting up candidates that Obama should stop acting like.

Xygoon is correct in a way about this. Obama's first promises to withdraw the military was the right decision. There's very little positive we could do there with a US presence given a plurality absolutely despise us for how the war was initially conducted. Much better to resolve this through less hated allies since US soldiers are a complete distraction in the region.
