Does anyone know if the screen is highly reflective like a mirror, or is it more of a matte finish?

Anyone know who makes Proscan?

I have always been one to buy name brand product. Until my experience with Proscan

My brothers girlfriend has a 47" proscan lcd, she claims to have had it for 5+ years and while she stayed with us it was in our living room. I was sceptical about it at first but it sure did beat our 36" samsung. Anyways, the TV ended up looking just as good as the samsung and a bigger screen! Obviously wasnt LED or the best quality, but it fulfilled our needs. It was a little bulkier and didnt look 'slick' like newer TVs, but like I said it fulfilled our needs.

Needless to say, their relationship didnt work out and we currently have no TV in our living room. Might jump on this deal and at 3" haha. Seems like a good deal to me.

The screen I dont really recall being like a mirror, I beleive it was more of a matte finish. The screen was not glass! But like I said that was from a 5+ yr. old model.

They were RCA, now they are On Corp. Curtis could also be a parent company. Nice deal. Bad speakers - get surround sound or a sound bar (which offsets the savings).

I know contrast ratio is sometimes subjective but isn't 3000:1 a little low?

Yeah, she did say the speakers have always been terrible, but we have surround sound setup from old roomate.
