I'm calling the the Surface PRO ($1,000+, not the RT) an Ultrabook even if it doesn't fit Intel's definition. Microsoft is making it to compete with with Ultrabooks. I believe this is a stated fact in the SEC filings. They also just released a bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

How well do bluetooth keyboards work for gaming?

hit/miss because of the bluetooth interference with other devices.

Anyway i wouldn't say the surface is a ultrabook until it comes with 128gb of HDD space, as basically all ultrabooks now come with 128gb of HDD space

Have they released the specs on the Pro Surface? I can't imagine it coming with less.

i was thinkin the normal surface that was coming in like 32gb and 16gb flavors

the pro will come in 64gb and 128gb according to the tech spec sheet.

in all honesty, the real big kicker is that Windows 8 from all i've seen is horrid
i haven't had it on a tablet, but the RC's on PC that i've played around with just aren't smooth

if they put windows 7 on that surface, i'd be interested

it is going to be a PC...I'd imagine you can load whatever OS onto it you want...someone will hack it to get it to run Win7.

Also, the WinRT tablet is going to be 32 and 64. And the WinPro will come with a 128GB option, as you found.

I didn't mind Win8, I didn't like it...because it is new and confusing (I need my Pin Bar dammit...(start bar for the oldies))...but I would hardly say it wasn't smooth.

Gabe Newell said that he's focusing on Linux because he thinks Win8 is a "disaster."

Then again, Newell is a huge sweaty bloated creature, so i tend not to take anything he says seriously.

Got my "ultraportable" S13 yesterday, took it apart and took the 640gb out, swapped it with my desktop's M4 128SSD. Then took the DVD optical drive out, and stuck the 640gb HDD in the optical bay.

put everything back together, now i got an ultra portable with a 128GB SSD + 640GB Samsung HDD.

total cost: $1,076.61 from Microcenter, but that's with 2 years Accidental Protection warranty that cost like $90.00.

So within 2 years I can replace it because incase i get into some accident....
