specs seem ok for a basic laptop, but keep in mind you're not paying $299 for it. You're paying $499 and then can get something else with the egc.

by the time you add webcam/bluetooth its close to $400 with tax. AFTER GC. i guess not too bad given its latitude.

You have to option it to $599 to get the $200 gift card so $399 after GC. Good price for Latitude but not necessarily for older I3.

Search the threads. . .link the deal from Twitter.Don't forget the Amex will also add a 2nd year of "warranty" as well (sometimes repair, but usually a credit for the purchase price under $5-600) I spec'ed a system i5-2430, BT, and minimal everything else (as I have extra RAM and will put in an SSD after BF) and it came to $623.27. $100 back to AMEX. . .$523.27 plus a $200 Gift card. Not bad |

Long time lurker, but just registered to post this message.
I think this is a great deal for a Latitude with above-average build quality. I added a webcam and my total was $562.05 with tax - $200 Promo e-gift card (which I will later use for an Ultrasharp monitor) = $362.05. I suspect that most folks will want to upgrade to an i5 processor, but I decided to stick with the base i3 to keep the price down. Anyway, great find -- thanks op! |
