Cablevision Optimum Triple Play for $70 or internet+io preferred for $76 **YMMV**
Not a smoking deal or anything, but I have been trying to lower my cable bill and decided to just drop my existing customer triple play offer of $99 + tax and go with just internet.. I saw a deal for $30 just internet good for a year and tried to sign up as new customer online, and the lame site said some representative will call me.. Sure enough some guy called me this morning and while trying to upsell me he mentioned a couple of good offers that weren't on their website. I didn't want the phone service and have never seen cablevision give a deal on just internet and TV and so I thought I'll share.
First you have to call for these offers (and it could be YMMV). The number to call is: 1-866-663-5658 (put in your phone number and enter 0 for extension).
The second deal is apparently only available in select areas (presumably the areas supported by FIOS).

- First deal: just internet + io Preferred package (1 step above the io family) = 30 + 46 = 76/mo + cost of cablecard or box.
- Second Deal: internet + io family + phone = 70/mo + cost of cablecard or box
The second deal is apparently only available in select areas (presumably the areas supported by FIOS).
