I got one, I'm still on the fence

It comes down to this... T4i vs 60D. This deal clearly beats the T3i deals Ive seen lately & its also a better camera. There will be a new model in a few months but with the price of the T4i kit with this lens being $1200, I'd imagine the upgrade will be near $1500 which is way out of my range.

The T4i is the closest in price & MAY have a sale near $900 like this one. So, T4i maybe or 60D for sure? I went 60D, reluctantly

You are correct on the auto ISO. I'm confusing it with the 7d, which currently doesn't have it.

Great camera...would have probably jumped on this but got Canon to extend me the 20% discount that actually already expired on a refurbished earlier this week. The refurbished 60D with the refurbished EFS18-200 it was $969.23 including tax and no charge for overnight shipping.
It does come in a white generic looking box but wouldn't know if it was not new.

T4i is a better choice at this price point, which it almost certainly will be at within a month or two.

I bought this the last time around at this price. It is a GREAT deal if you want the package or just the body and want to sell the lens, but I will warn you that the 70D is coming out and the resell value for the 60D is lower than normal for a brand new one. So keep that in mind.

Agreed. The 18-200 is also pretty weak, but there are people who will kill to defend that lens's honor.

Agreed... and only a very specific segment of the population are interesting buying that and then attaching it to telescopes.

This lens gets good reviews on Amazon, better than the 300mm lens i've seen on packages lately
This camera WILL get discontinued in 3 months or so when the 70d comes out but that camera will be much pricier than $900 with a lens

So it still comes down to T4i vs 60d

I heard that the AF with the 7D is much worse than you would expect. It was a guy who owns it who told me that... but I was legitimately surprised. If that is indeed accurate, I think the 60D is the way to go.

I read that the 60D didn't take advantage of the additional speed of a UHS SD card. I know the 5d mk III doesn't, and while I'm sure you might get transfer/write rates higher than 30 Mbps, I'm not sure it goes all the way up to 45. But I do agree that a faster card can make a huge difference.
