HP ENVY 17 or DELL XPS 17 or ?
Would like to keep it under $1000Desktop Replacement; 17"+ screen 1080p Quad core i5 is fine. I really don't like Acer, Gateway, Compaq or AMD in a laptop Will be used for spreadsheets and watching movies No gaming. A 9cell battery or greater is preferred. Win 7. Not sure if I want a glossy/reflective screen or a matte/non-glossy screen? Build Quality and Design = a metal lid would be nice to keep the screen from flexing 750GB+ hard drive space DVD r/w or Blu-Ray drive Full size backlit keyboard with 10-key Enough RAM or an open DIMM for me to add a stick Last edited by RHCCapri; 07-21-2012 at 06:41 PM.. ask in tech forum,wait until august back to school sales,all computers are made by 5 tawain companies in china then rebadged,apple,dell,hp,sony,etc
