I disagree. This was a pedophile ring with affluent customers. The blame is being narrowed down to Joe Paterno. People are aware of this.

I'm not blaming him for it happening. I just think he should have had enough character to bring it out in the open when he found out about it.

I'm sure he wanted to got to the proper authorities when he first found out. But it went on for over 14 years. It was a cover up. That takes more than just one person.

If he wanted to go to the authorities then why didn't he? Did he need to ask permission from somebody? If so, who?

Of course it took more than one person to cover it up. And it only took one person to uncover it in the end. That should have happened much sooner than it did. And the instant Paterno learned about it he should have reported it to the authorities. Were there others along the way that should have reported it? Sure.

If his bosses weren't taking the child rape reports seriously, then Joe should have taken what he knew to the media, police, ect.
Any good and decent person should have shouted these horrific charges of child rape from the roof tops.
He was complicit in these crimes, by choosing to remain silent.

If Joe truly wanted to bring an end to this, he should have brought everything he knew out in the open.
