Slickdeals !bang syntax in DuckDuckGo
https://duckduckgo.comThe new !bang syntax is as follows: !sd item This can be used in the search box or your browser URL bar if DDG is the default.

One of the main benefits is the ability to query other sites via the !bang syntax. This means if you type !sd laptop into the search box (or URL bar if it's your default search engine), it will automatically forward you to the slickdeals search page and search for all deals that are for laptops. This !bang was just added recently (Slickdeals). Other popular !bangs are: !a = Amazon !w = Wikipedia !d = dictionary !yt = youtube !b = bing !gi = google images , !g = google !yi = yahoo images , !y = yahoo etc etc etc etc. |

In FF, you go to 'manage search engines' (and it automatically picks up slickdeals) and add it with a suitable keyword option. Then, in the URL bar: s <my search string> will search slickdeals for <my search string> I use the google, IMDB and wikipedia ones regularly I got comparisons coming out my ears and she never can hit the pause
If only Morrissey weren't so Morrissey-esque she might overlook all my flaws So lighten up Morrissey |

For instance: !gn = google news !gi = google images !g = google You believe that DDG is exclusive of Google, when that is not the case. Please turn in your geek card at the exit. |

Also, I think you have it backwards. Firefox and Opera had these features long before DuckDuckGo came along, and if I can search google by typing "g hot deals" into my address bar instead of opening up DuckDuckGo and searching "!g hot deals", I'm opting for the first one. |
