Free 3-month Amazon Prime Membership for Parents & Caregivers with Amazon Mom

What I did was use a Visa Gift Card and it worked for my first order, but later on that day I kept getting harassing emails and calls from them telling me to change the card to a real one. I went to check the gift card's history and sure enough it had a $80 charge from Amazon that was denied.

I told them why(because I was under the free trial) and they said they needed to charge me the fee anyways and they revoked the trial when I refused to enter a a non gift card credit card.

This was back in January, who knows if they ever stopped doing it. But if you google "Amazon Prime Scam" you will find a ton of similar stories.

Why do you assume everyone has those? Not to mention dakotatakes posted the reason why you should be careful of this.

I am using the initial one month free trial of Amazon prime, if I sign up amazon mom now, will they extend my trial period to a total of 4 free months or amazon mom 3 months will override my existing one free month??

I've done this twice and have never been charged, ever. In fact, they send you an email when the trial is about to expire and have you confirm or deny paying the $79 for Prime.

if you follow op instructions there is no problem. You need to make sure you pick," do not auto renew". I have received emails asking me to extend but I have no intention.

You can convert your existing account to the prime, if you never availed prime benefits.

Don't forget to remove auto-renewal after signing up:
Go to Account - Settings - Manage Prime Membership
