 as my brother's fascinate but at least I could see it. The original x sucked bad outside.the vibrant is t mobile's galaxy s btw the new razr is great outside too. |

Each subpixel of the screen degrades at it's own rate with use, which can create detectable patterns of inconsistent screen dimming. While a screen may be rated for 100,000 hours, if there are regions of the screen which illuminate more than others, you can find that over time they become dimmer. This is especially noticeable when the screen is displaying darker images. Even if it ages with total uniformity, you'll begin to notice a reduction in the color saturation and contrast of the screen. This isn't a huge problem for phones, because people only keep them for 2-3 years, and the screen isn't on several hours a day like a TV. Lies, damned lies, and contrast ratios.
