I snagged several cases for making hummus over the next couple of months (there's a lot of hummus eaten in this house — and it sure ain't gettin' any cheaper). Fingers crossed that they don't put them all in the same carton, like the last time I bought a few cases of canned stuff; I ordered each one separately so they wouldn't do, but they'll probably get cute again, and I'll get stuck with another carton I can't get into the house that's got half the cans inside dented. (I sincerely hope our UPS guy got combat pay for that stupid thing. And you know where most of the dents ended up being? Right along the ridge where the can opener attaches. But of course. It just wouldn't be any fun, otherwise. But at least it wasn't the six cases of Cheez-It dust we got last fall. I get so many damaged packages, I'm wondering what kind of sacrifices I should be making, and to which gods.) Now, to decide between the cheap tahini and the cheaper tahini....

These are also just great for a quick protein boost snack rinsed off! You can't even get the store brand for less than a buck a can! Hmm throw a couple cans into the ninja blender w/ a 1/2 cup of tahini, 5 cloves of garlic 1/3 cup lemon juice (OOPS I forgot the oilve oil) a little drizzle of evoo to taste w/ some paprika & either some blackened red peppers from the jar or a can of artichoke hearts makes for some heavenly hummusy goodness! Now to see if I can make some homemade pita bread that will puff up for the perfect pocket! Congrats OP this is def headed to the FP if they stay in stock!!!
