Canon PowerShot S95 Digital Camera $280 + Free Shipping! (eBay Daily Deal)

I was just looking to buy the S95 or S100 from Amazon. Probably an easier choice now.

Nice deal. I got mine for just this price on Craigslist earlier this year. It's a fantastic camera and well worth the price.

S95 or S100? I sure will go for S95. I just dropped my S90 twice and broke it on my vacation, so painful. I loved that little camera, it worked great.

UPDATE: called CSR and confirmed what others below have said about the warranty... THERE IS NO CANON WARRANTY. only warranty from big value inc for 1 year parts, 90 days labor. Verified those findings and then canceled my order.... sadly.

this may be true - but would like to add; I have both s95 and canon xs dslr..in the places where my dslr is too bulky or time consuming, S95 takes care of it. S95 has decent picture quality in general.

This is pretty widely considered the best point & shoot out there; it's not reasonable to compare P&S with DSLR, they will never be comparable. And in my experience, skill and timing trump all other factors in making great pictures.

THIS IS EBAY!! What makes you think there's a Canon warranty here. In fact they state the warranty is for 3 months labor. That's not Canon.

Ever hear of grey market products. A product meant for say the Asian market and is sold for a lot less over there than here. Course most of the world doesn't have warranties and grey market items don't come with it. That's why your warranty on this item is from this particular dealer and that's why the price is lower. Other than that there's nothing wrong with buying a grey market item as long as the price is right.

So the question is - how good is bigvalueinc's warranty?

Oh, don't get me wrong. For small sensor P&S cameras, the S95 is good. But it can't touch a DSLR. Here's an example. The XS is too long in the tooth for it to be listed anymore, so I've used the oldest Canon DSLR still listed as a comparison. The XS was good in it's day, I recently sold mine off a couple of months ago.

Great deal for right now, but I bet November and December you'll be able to get one around the $230-$250 range if you monitor the deals closely.
