Why does the title specifically mention PS3 compatibility? Aren't all 2.5" HDD's under 9mm thickness PS3 compatible? (As in, pretty much any laptop HDD will work in a PS3.)

Curious. Why do we need 1 TB hard drive for PS3? Watching movies or playing games with disc is good enough for all of us, right?

they still call it 2.5 but it wouldn't fit in the ps3 tray without minor modifications. |

My other PS3 has a 640 GB HDD for my movie library...but it, too, is getting full. I've started to just stream them from my PC through our N-network. Easier than dumping stuff to thumb drives and then onto the PS3s. |
