- 1st rep offered 16GB S3 for $279.99 plus a $90 credit. I asked if she could do any better, e.g. credit off my bill for a period of time and she offered an additional $10 off my bill for 6 months - so $130 + tax with no shipping or upgrade fee (I learned that the customer loyalty department deesn't charge upgrade or activation fees). I told her I'd think about it and that she could call me back in a few days. - 2nd rep offered S3 for $279.99 and a $79 credit, but I got him "down" to $179.99 and he would do 2 S3's for that price since I was thinking of upgrading 2 phones. Since I wasn't sure whether I wanted an S3 for the second phone, he also told me $150 for an S2 (my second option for my wife since she doesn't have a smartphone currently). - 3rd rep offered S3 at $179.99 and $100 credit for two - so $259.98 for two S3's...this was after I mentioned the new S3 pricing for Sprint on Amazon ($79.99) He also said he could do an S2 for $49.99 or a Blaze (my 3rd option) for free, in place of the second S3. So, I could get an S3 and an S2 for $129.98 + tax and no shipping, upgrade, activation fees. He told me that these were the best prices customer loyalty could offer, and had offered in the past, before credits, etc. He noted these prices in my account too. - 1st rep called back and I told her about 3rd reps prices and asked if I could have those prices plus the credits she offered (b/c they were $50 better than 3rd rep). She checked with her supervisor and agreed. So, I got an S3 and an S2 for $79.98 after the credits + tax on the discounted prices (i.e. $179.99 and $49.99), or roughly $95 for both phones. As others have said, it pays to talk to different reps and to keep asking for more incentives until they say "no", even in the customer loyalty department. FYI, I've been with T-Mobile for ~10 years and I came out of contract this month. Last edited by ahself; 08-26-2012 at 07:55 PM.. Reason: included ref. to Sprint/Amazon deal |

Sorry to revive an old thread, but when you call customer loyalty for discounted phones, are you renewing or signing up for another 2 year contract? I need a new phone but I don't want to lose the plan I have. I'm on an off contract Even More Plus Plan. I don't mind agreeing to another 2 years, but I don't want to lose my Even More Plus Plan.
