Midway Arcade game collection for free on iPhone & iPod Touch

The paid version of Midway Arcade is free (currently costs $0.99 on the App Store) on Gnomeescape.com.

Pretty good app... it's got a ton of 80s retro classics that all us older slickdealers know and love from our youth:

Spy Hunter
Rampage
Joust
Defender
RootBeer Tapper
Arch Rivals
Air Hockey
Arcade Basketball
Pool
Roll Ball

Go to Gnome Escape and sign up with an email address, click on Midway Arcade, and they send you an email with a link to get the app for free. Sometimes it's quick, sometimes it takes a while... don't know why.

FYI, they had Bejeweled for free last week (posted that deal here too), but it's not available anymore, they change the free apps out once or twice a week.

Hopefully there will soon be a slickdeal for the iCade cabinet to complete the old-skool experience!

Same, my apple ID isn't even an email address and it still worked, the email you get sent simply has a promo code in the URL and you can open it directly on your iPhone/iPad.

Going to favorite this website, it definitely does look great on the iPad, and honestly it's the way the game is intended to be played. yep, only got to trying out Defender last night but looked great on iPad (in landscape mode)
controls are a little annoying but that isn't the fault of the game

Just unlock the Gauntlet game pack, too (though you need to pay for this game pack). Takes me back to the times at the arcade w/ my trusty drilled quarter & ldental floss. Good times!
