An APU is better for anything graphics intensive, and Trinity gets better battery life Ivy to boot BUT Sandy still gets the best battery life in the 17w class. And it's not like Sandy is a slouch in CPU land --it'll remain the go to arch for enterprise (the Folio is an enterprise machine) until Intel fixes their 22nm process issues.

I use a Folio every day, and I can push battery life to 13 hours if I'm careful (I'm not using Windows either.) It's the best portable machine I've had in years. Better than the X220 I had before it, and better than the X230s I piloted for the office. We're rolling out Folios for the personel who don't need GPUs right now.

Sandy > Ivy hands down for a machine like this. It's not even a fair fight for a business PC.

what are you smoking....? Ivy bridge has better graphics for these ultraportables AND better battery life... in terms of performance, its about the same but those two are where ivy bridge shines...

well, by making the parts soldered, they can make the laptop lighter and have better power management, and of course making the laptop thinner (something desired in an ultrabook). I prefer being able to change ram/HDD without paying a 500 or so premium, so I went with sony vaio T.

Also, I posted this deal a few weeks back, same price; its definitely a good deal, made FP, this will probably make FP too

Yup.. if you buy HP or Lenovo you definitely would care about how easy it is to repair because, chances are, something will break!
