I did that exact thing a couple months ago when I bought my wife's laptop. Unless they changed the policy since then, you should be good to go.

NO. . .limit of $500 egift cards per order which negates the single $600 charge. Also this is sold by Cashstar I believe.

Seems there is a 10% off accessories code somewhere that you could use towards physical gift cards which are sold by dell. But only applies to one card so the best way would be buy $500 GC (-$50 coupon) + $100 GC + $50 GC. $600 - $100 = $500 for $650 in Gift Cards with Amex bonus and 10% off coupon. But you do lose the 2nd year warranty, but for me my card does not extend refurbs anyways.

The promo code is not for egift cards. It is for prepaid purchase gift cards--physical plastic gift cards that are sold by dell and mailed (promo applied to largest card purchased) and is entered in same place as always for dell promos.

gotya thanks. hmmm trying to figure out a best way to take advantage of both this 10% off and the egiftcard deal...I missed the AMEX 100 promo bus which frigging sux cuz I was being lazy after reading that its good till july 31.
