Civilization V: Gods & Kings DLC $15.89 (Activates on Steam)

I'm going to continue to wait. This should have been included in the incomplete initial release and now they want to charge us more than the game for it.

It does sound like a very good add-on, but I agree that many of the elements should have been included in the original release. It sounds like these are all the things they dropped from Civ 4 in order to release 5 when they wanted to.

I tried buying here a few days ago and their paypal account seems to be down, and they aren't accepting my CC.

This is a legit site? No banning from steam or anything?

I would be tempted to jump on this, but all of the sudden Civ V is crashing my machine. Even tried reinstalling, updating video card drivers, running in DX9, nothing.

How long does it take generally to get your key after you buy it?

Not sure about from tannersarms site, but I received a cd key from gameholds in about 3 minutes.

Hmm 20 minutes and nada, nothing in spam folder either.

Edit just got it. I'm just not used to this type of order not being nearly instant.

I'm happy with my cddiski.ru purchase--$9 for Civ 5 and $9 for Gods & Kings. It activated on Steam a couple weeks ago and I haven't had any issues.

The key is listed as region free. I've not heard of anyone getting banned for activating it. Not sure where that would fall under Steam's T&C anyway.

will this work on Mac? I'm assuming so because they're cd keys and it's interchangeable online on steam

Perhaps some of the minor features and technical stability (they definitely rushed testing, remember the bugs on day 1?!) , but I know at least one of the major omissions (Religion) was dropped on purpose, read an interview with Sid about it before the original Civ 5 launch.

They let it go because they had to be so careful not to offend anyone with it in 4 that it was made ultimately useless and without use it became boring. Now I haven't played the expansion yet so maybe they came up with a better way.
