have you played the first assassin's creed? it is one of the dullest aaa games this generation, serious snoozefest. how did enough people look past it to even put the effort into playing the subsequent games. i've had 2 and brotherhood sitting on my shelf for months but can't bring myself to touch them after remembering the first game.

While I agree thikturd is usually just a troll, I have to admit, I think AC series is extremely overrated as well. Played both the first and second and thought they were both crap.

+1 (holy shit am I agreeing with thikturd?). I couldn't finish the first one, it was just.. bad. I was going to give this one a try, for ~ $20 atleast because 'MURICAAAAA.

The first one was just sort of new. It reminded me enough of the Prince of Persia series to make me give it a shot. Even though gameplay was dull and repetative.

Thank god the PC version let you warp back after missions to avoid that annoying long walk back home each time. It was an enjoyable enough game with impressive functionality and visuals. Treat it like a free-roam tech demo and it works well.

The second one came off as more of a story rather than a game. I played through it once and haven't touched it again. The idea of spending several hours wandering around as a kid before the game starts does not appeal to me. Brotherhood was useless, it was really just re-releasing the second one and giving some replay back to people.

I never even played through Revelations. Started it, and just couldn't find the will to play it. I was interested in the storyline for the series, but it seems to have spun into a poorly devised pile of cliche Dan Brown/SyFy writing where nothing good can come of it.

I may pick up 3 if the reviews come out and say it is mindblowing and brings something new to the series, but judging by the footage I have seen this will not be the case. Likely, I will read the synopsis on wikipedia or something and get my fill.

i'm really excited to play this..i've finised 1 and 2 and looking forward for this awesome sequel

Sorry I thought you were actually trolling. I liked the first one. I will admit the gameplay was pretty dull but the story line kept me interested. Have you actually seen the gameplay for 3 yet. They completely revamped the combat system.
