You hit the nail on the head. I am a very private person. My facebook profile is private. If i choose to post a status update I can choose who reads it. If I choose to tweet, I know I am putting it out there for the whole world to see. Obviously if I post something on SD I want it to be seen. It's not that I want to keep deals or posts private as that makes no sense. However, I do not want someone to be able to stalk me and all of my activity. I don't want anyone to monitor which threads I read. Shudder.

You couldn't pay me to follow any mods or deal editors....unless you sent me more tshirts.

The follow feature doesn't expose your browsing activity. It notifies you when the person you're following makes a new thread.

i dont like the idea. I have had enough of the follow the social media trend. Thankfully, users can disable this function.
