Get $100 rebate for planting a tree in Washington DC/Chicago

Planting a tree at home or work has never been more affordable. Thanks to funding from the District Department of the Environment, we provide rebates up to $100 to individuals who purchase and plant trees on residential property in D.C.
Eligible Species
Small and medium canopy trees — including standard-size fruit trees — are eligible for rebates up to $50 per tree, as long as the tree reaches 15’ tall and wide at maturity.
Seven genus and 27 species noted for their large canopy and environmental benefits qualify for rebates up to $100 per tree.
Trees that qualify for the $100 rebate (expand all items below):
Oaks
Basket oak/chestnut oak
Black oak
Bur oak
Chinkapin oak
Live oak
Northern red oak
Nuttall oak
Pin oak
Scarlet oak
Shingle oak
Shumard oak
Southern red oak
Swamp white oak
Overcup oak
Turkey oak
Water oak
White oak
Willow oak
Hickories
Butternut hickory
Mockernut hickory
Pignut hickory
Shagbark hickory
Other shade trees
American beech
American linden/Basswood
American sweetgum
Sycamore/American planetree
Tuliptree
Invasive tree species and any species of ash, dwarf trees and shrubs do not qualify.
Get a Tree Rebate
Participation is simple.
•Submit a completed Tree Rebate Form. Each form allows two trees to be listed.
•Include purchase receipt for each trees listed.
There is no maximum number of rebates allowed per property. Rebate requests are subject to approval by Casey Trees.
