Was wondering what the time limit to do a charge back for American Express is. Any experiences as well.or tips this is one i would give 50/50 odds of winning.File early or late? etc

Also is it best to pay the amount in question so i dont have to pay interest on it if i lose.

Is that correct if you lose the chargeback you will have to pay the interest that accured during the dispute in question.

Thank you for any helpyummy

This will be my first chageback as well.Do they have an overall chargeback limit?

amount in question is $250

So you go out to eat, finish, pay, and then do a chargeback? You are a d-bag because that is not what you tell the credit card company. "I sat there, ate the entire meal, never attempted to get anyone to fix my issues, and then they forced me to pay" would come off as fraud.

"The prices were wrong," "I was overcharged," or you say something else.
LOL exactly.
Hell We were eating when a man fell over dead next to our table. They waved the bill...didn't ask
another time a guy pukes walking past our table. I just asked to be moved

I need some assistance. I purchased an expensive bedroom set from a NC furniture dealership and against my better instincts I also purchased a mattress and box spring. I told the saleswoman that I was planning on buying a new set from a local store in case I needed to exchange it, as in the past, since my husband has back issues. She told me that I had 30 days to try the mattress out and if we didn't like it we could exchange it for another set, at same value or higher. She advised us we could find something we liked near where we lived and send her the manufacturers name and she could order it for us. We received our set less than 2 weeks ago and the mattress set is horrible. We are now sleeping in our son's room and he is on the couch. I have tried relentlessly to speak with store and keep getting the run around. The saleswoman no longer works at the store and no one will assist us. We have left messages for the manager to call us, to no avail. We paid the balance of the set the day before delivery via AMEX. Can I call AMEX and ask for a chargeback? How exactly does this work? The cost is almost $2000. Is this the best way to go? Any help anyone can offer is much appreciated!

I purchase a bedroom set from out of state and it was delivered less than 2 weeks ago. Against my better judgement, I also purchased a new box spring and mattress. I wanted to purchase this from a local store as my husband has back issues and in case the bed didn't work for him we could exchange with most stores 30 day trial period. I expressed this to the sales woman and she stated they offered the same program. I asked her how that worked since we would not be flying down to NC to find another mattress, if need be. She advised that we could find something around here and just call in the manufacturers name and number. I paid the balance for the set the day before delivery, 2 weeks ago with my AMEX Gold card. The mattress is a horrible, we are now sleeping in our son's bed, and he is on the couch. I notified the store last week and was told our salesperson no longer works there and customer service can not help. They suggested speaking with the sales manager, who has avoided our calls. I am very upset that I paid for an expensive mattress, S&F, and am not able to sleep on it, and seem to be stuck with it. Can I ask AMEX for a chargeback? How does this work? I haven't paid for the charge yet, it is due soon. Or is there another recourse I can take? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
