You can't go by the brand, since it's a store brand. My son's room has an Insignia with a killer picture...because it is really a Samsung.

Checked local inventory (Charlotte, NC) and all are showing ship 2 store so your store might have excess of 'em.

Well Samsung may make the panel (turns out for Insignia it actually is LG), there is a difference because they use lower grade panels. I've had an Insignia from a great deal, got a chance to pick up a Samsung for an even greater deal and the two do not even compare.

are they on clearance? can't get that low price online...

The Insignia plasma my son has is a rebranded Samsung, same panel, same specs, they just changed the name on it and used last years model....

Refurb. Personally I would never buy refurb tv/monitor.

It's a great deal if you dont care about the picture quality and colors a bit off but you can't compare a Dynex or Insignia to a good quality Samsung or Lg the difference is day and night and the people who say quality is the same just don't know what they are talking about. Because I have owned Dynex toshiba lg and Samsung I can vouch that I would not buy a Dynex again not because the the tv broke on me but I could not take the quality I owned it for 3 months and sold it on Craigslist

Went to my store and nothing in stock. Voted down.
