About 3 months. I got the version I linked because it seemed the most reputable. However, it does get very warm when charging. Read the 2nd most helpful review at amazon and the person lists the technical reasons why this happens. The charger can trick devices into drawing a stronger current but in doing so the conversion process is inefficient and causes the release of heat. Things that take a lot of amps will really push this and are not advised, I have only really only used the device for my Vita which only takes about 1 amp (I believe). The batteries and device gets warm to the touch but so far its worked the 10-20 times I've used it without incident.
