I don't use a dishwasher. Even with plastic rating as <5> these are not good. The plastic slowly gets absorbed in food when you heat the bowls. Even the latest <7> Tritan plastic's formula is unknown.

Glass is best.

I dont heat plastic in the microwave, Thats the problem right there.. I put in on a plate Of course most of any plastic is going to deteriorate in a microwave over time. Don't heat plastic in microwave. Not good for you
Glass is best for you, Is what u meant to say since u like to heat them up in the container its stored in, Doesnt make it better, Both have there ups and downs depending on what your gonna use them for

well if Rubbermaid says the bowls are microwave/freezer/dishwasher safe then they should be safe up to a certain degree. And that's the mistake right there, you are not making full use of the stuff that you buy. Now I am sure you will say "Rubbermaid is making false claims" .

No I will say your not the brightest for eating plastic fumed foods haha, Quit being lazy put it on a plate. Could care less what they say about dishwasher/microwave safe, Me personally wont be heating up plastic in my microwave. Glass breaks, as I said earlier everything has its ups and downs, Depends what you want to use it for, Just doesn't help to hop on a forum and say how much plastic sucks glass is better, Its a never ending debate per person, I have kids don't need them handling glass all day long eventually I will be cleaning up broken glass, I also wouldn't heat up plastic but I speak for myself, I think these are great and have had no problems, Even Tupperware has the effects you talk about. So yes If i were you I would go glass for your needs.
