Amazon's TV purchase is excellent. You don't need to worry about DOA or damaged package at all.

I am not saying this is super hot, but IMO considering other aspects in addition to price, this isn't worse than the proscan deal.

You can't really go by Proscan's history since there have been three different companies using the name over the last decade, RCA, ON Corporation, and now Curtis. The current tv's made by Curtis can not be compared to the tv's made by the ON Corporation two years ago. They may be better, or they may be worse.

I've been very happy with my 40" TCL LED-LCD that I've had for a little over a year now. Very impressed with it for the cost. I paid like $429 or something at Wal-Mart. It actually uses a Samsung panel; 120 Hz, etc.

I actually own this T.V and it is awesome for the price! Had no problems whatsoever with it! The only downside is TCL doesent have a program option in my Time Warner remote, so I hafta use the TCL remote for volume up and down.

the TCL is an awesome deal cuz this is proven worthy product by thousands of people myself included. Reliability is one of the most important thing to consider with electronics and with TCL, you can safely assume that it will be reliable. Another reason why this is better is because it uses a Samsung panel. Thats why people thought this was an extremely good deal in the first place and got so many people getting it. I got one before for 250 and honestly, havent really seen much better lower cost TV deals since. its been a while. Got this for my father which he has in his bed room, and he enjoys it every night. I'd get this over the other FP deal any day of the week.

They have random power on problems which is easily fixable by firmware update, if these had not been updated already.
