This is a great idea if it in facts works well in real life situations. Many people now only have a cell at home.

Tried one store and the manager gave me the $129 price, went to another store and they were happy to price match for $99 and i already submitted the rebate. Thanks OP!

Just FYI. Memory capacity and phone book capacity is only 50 numbers. Between 2 peoples phones this could be problematic.

Yes, these work without a landline. Check the link-to-cell manual to make sure your cell phone is compatible. We purchased this as a gift because we liked ours, but the recipient's Blackberry wouldn't link to it. (Admittedly it was an older model BB)

IMO these are great for those without a landline because it allows you to answer your calls without having to have your cell phone in the same room. They function as extensions to your cell phone. You just need to have the base station within Bluetooth signal distance from the cell phone (we have ours near the charging dock). The additional handsets can be placed anywhere else in the home.

Got this price matched and used the $5 off coupon without issue. Now I just need to send in the mail in rebate. It works great so far, for both landline and linking to cell phone.

I see that it let me hold 3050 contacts. It synced over all my cell's contacts (100+) without issues.
